It was fine yesterday but I got on it today and when I turned the key the instrument panel started flashed and when I turned the key it just clicks. I checked the battery and it had alot of corrosion on the positive terminal. I cleaned it all up and put it back in but still just clicking noise. My Ranger 1000 wont start, of course the diesel fuel that someone put in the tank has something to do with it. I drained all of the diesel out and put a few gallons of 92 octane and fuel system cleaning additive. Still not cranking, it tries to but not like it should. Morning temps close to freezing. Crank no start… every once in a while would catch an idle then die. Did not have a lot of tools in camp so swapped a few relays, charged battery, tried priming with key on a bunch, but nothing. Tested fuel pressure: 12 - 18 psi. Replaced fuel pump: now with key first on 58psi.If that is the case, all you need to do is clean that area. Besides, throttle position can have an impact on TPS as well. And, that causes a similar reaction to the Ranger’s engine. 3. Fuel pump issue.
