I'm playing more flute now than I have in years, and as all you serious doublers know, that added versatility means; more work. Another added benefit I'm discovering is that, (as shown by the popularity of this forum), there are a LOT of talented sax players out there. The RPC beats them all. Middle D is a problem for a lot of saxophones. It can be very sharp (10 to 20 cents) and can be "stuffy." To flatten it out you can hold the left hand pinky B or Bb key.
