2024 Jeep jk running hot

Decided to replace thermostat. Put new Mopar thermostat in, and the JK still runs at 220 on average. Took JK to my other mechanic. He did some research and found that drilling a 1/8" hole in thermostat will allow Jeep to run cooler. Decided to drill hole. The Jeep is still running hot. About 220. Took the JK back to the dealer.. Low on power and running rough after warming up. My 98 TJ with the 2.5l has been acting up lately. It seems to run pretty normal when cold, but a few minutes after reaching normal running temp, it gradually seems to idle rougher and rougher, it's low on power and there's a drop in oil pressure. It does nothing when the key is turned, besides turn the radio/ac on. Yesterday, I noticed “HOT OIL” come up on the dash. I checked oil level. It was fine. Temperature outside have been in the 90-100’s. I doubt that has anything to do with it. Oil has been changed. Engine coolant is good. Not running any codes. Could it be Starter .... Bhg cookbook

Common causes - Leaking radiators, Radiator cap, Faulty oil coolers - nearly a trademark on the Pentastar V6, Leaking coolant bottles, faulty waterpumps etc.The temp gauge on your dash is just an implied temp, not an actual reading.
