You are decreasing overall cartridge length, which equates to less velocity at the muzzle and less energy, as well as less recoil. A lot of people prefer the .380 due to ease of use racking the slide over a 9mm, as the springs are lighter.The standard P365 will offer the best concealability and you can still use 12-round mags. However the longer frame on the P365 will make for a better shooter. Even with the 12-round extended mag in a std P365 I find I can handle and shoot the P365X better. He currently owns two, one with a born date in mid March and one with a born date in mid May. He has thoroughly examined both guns and has observed some interesting changes in the May gun. The P365 X-macro isn't that much smaller than the stock m18 but is definitely thinner which would help with printing. If you wanted smaller the P365X is a better option without going to a much shorter grip in the P365. And, a PMM comp can be placed on the front giving the same length as the Xmacro. ...
