Are they still having problems with the doohickey or burning oil in the motors. The local dealership told me that all of the problems had been resolved. Was just wondering what owners were seeing with them.

I'm thinking of getting a KLR over a Honda Shadow or Yamaha Vstar 650, cause the mexican streets are brutal, potholes, dirt, uneven, big ass street bumps, and my rebel is too low, it scrapes at times. Having said this, is it a good everyday commuter bike, I know for the mexican streets it'll be great.
